My husband and I with our dog spent 3 days at the White Ledge Campground from Saturday-Tuesday. When we arrived we were hesitant from all the posts about the ranger and host; however, we had no interactions with either. We saw the host driving around on the golf cart but never came to talk to us and basically let us be for our whole stay! We never saw the ranger! I'm not sure if it was because we have reserved a spot and paid in advance or not. We stayed at site 8 which from what we can see site 8 was the best site in the campground it is set back from the others so gives a ton of privacy, away from the road but still easy walk to bathroom and dumpster. The bathroom was a typical outhouse style bathroom and clean as you can expect in the woods. We truly loved our stay, quiet, relaxing and beautiful! We love the white mountains! The location of the site is only a few minutes from town so groceries, shops and restaurants are close by if interested. Also, lots of trail access some start right at the campsite and others are a few minutes away depending on your hike. Only one heads up when we arrived the White Ledge Campground sign was missing so tough to spot the entrance is right across from the Kawasaki dealership.

Good campground with some nice hiking trails. No showers, only one water tap.

My wife and I stayed there for three nights in site 16. It was one of the more secuded sites. The campgrounds were neat and well taken care of. There was no ranger and the host was helpful. We stayed in the loop nearest the road and there was road noise. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

There are pit style restrooms for you to use, but the only running water on site was located at a tap near the front of the campgrounds. This tap was promptly broken by 2 young boys that we witnessed running around and splashing water on each other from pots, while running back and forth to the tap to get more water. So, we then had zero running water.

Similar to other reviewers, the "Ranger" on site will decide how you will be behaving during the weekend based on your age and how many people are in your party and will try to scare you. This made our weekend start poorly, we are all in our 30's with no children and didn't really understand why this man began yelling at us and telling us that we will all be arrested tonight. It was incredible rude and uncalled for.

The only reason I am giving it 2 stars, is because it was SUPER cheap. $18.00 per site, up to 8 people. But we learned our lesson on this one, you get what you paid for. Unless you are only sleeping here and do not plan on spending anytime at the campground itself, I would not suggest staying here.

We secured 3 campsites because a large group of us would be tubing down the Saco River the next day, but when we arrived and began to set up on one of our sites, the people next to use had put their stuff down to reserve it for a friend, indicating that the "Ranger" had told them that we wouldn't be needing it, which was very odd, as our name was written on the reservation sign on the front of the space.

Love White Ledge. A grouo of friends and I have stayed here several time over the past few years and we'll keep coming back. Camp sites are well maintained and clean as are the latrines (no plumbing while camping!). Located in Albany, NH on Rt 16, White Ledge is close to the Conways and other valley attractions. There is also a trail head at the edgenof the campground with a decent trail and good views.

We observed quiet hours just like nearly everyone else, in fact, the loudest person on site that weekend was a drunk mother scream obscenities at anyone what walked by. Wonder why she wasn't taken away by the sheriff?
